Pediatric ophthalmologists face several challenges in diagnosing and treating pediatric eye conditions. These challenges include managing complex strabismus cases while adhering to accepted standards of care, addressing diagnostic dilemmas related to anterior segment disorders, and navigating treatment options for red eye, trauma, amblyopia, refractive error, and pediatric cancers. To enhance their competence, this activity focuses on integrating current and new technologies into care plans, and emphasizing case-based learning. By participating, pediatric ophthalmologists will improve their ability to provide optimal care for young patients with difficult or uncommon eye conditions.
