This special lecture covers the topics of posture and ergonomics in a clinical setting. Dr. Mallon defines posture and the specific challenges that ophthalmologists face in clinic. He illuminates the balance of internal and external factors that affect our posture. Finally he establishes some guidelines for optimizing setup in the clinical setting to minimize risk of shifting into bad posture and recommends stretches to help address common postural issues.
