Overview

This presentation will benefit comprehensive ophthalmologists and those practicing oculoplastics alike. It will touch upon novel and updated techniques in treating common plastics problems and teach proper management and triage of dangerous diseases that warrant proper diagnosis in the community.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Discuss important new advances in the etiologies, diagnosis, and treatment/prevention of eyelid and lacrimal system diseases.
  2. Identify basic and clinical vision research that can be transformed into improved clinical care.
  3. Assess the role of new technologies in the evaluation and treatment of eyelid and lacrimal system diseases.
  4. Describe factors that impact the effective delivery of the highest quality eyelid and lacrimal system care for the public.
  5. Identify clinical, scientific, and ethical issues confronting the profession.
  6. Obtain information and tools through multiple facets to help ophthalmologists deliver high and efficient quality of care.

Accreditation
Wills Eye Hospital is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
